Grand Tour of the North Day 9 (blog 2) Stirling Castle

Stirling Castle is magnificent it's one of the best castles I have visited over the years it's so vast. I spent 3 hours wandering around the buildings & exhibitions, so much to see & read the great palace which has been restored is beautiful. Built for for James V in 1530's Historic Scotland has re-presented the palace interiors as they might have looked. This is a place of power, beauty & history.
Like Edinburgh Castle,  this castle also stands on a mighty volcanic crag.
